The ICN´s Electron Microscopy Laboratory is equipped with state of the art FEI microscopes, including a Tecnai F20 HRTEM/STEM, Magellan 400L XHR SEM, Quanta 650F ESEM, and sample preparation facilities.

The Laboratory provides a range of services including:

  • High resolution imaging (SEM, TEM, Z-contrast STEM)
  • Chemical analysis at the nanoscale (EDS, EELS, EFTEM)
  • Dynamic in-situ experiments
  • Electron tomography
  • Structural characterisation by electron diffraction
